Al Minshawi is one of the most well-known Quranic reciters of Egyptian descent. His voice was smooth, deep, and very pleasant. He had a good knowledge of tajweed, which made his recitation very impressive. He was born in Egypt, and he traveled to many countries outside of Egypt, such as Saudi Arabia, Indonesia, Malaysia, Pakistan, the United Arab Emirates, and the United States. His journey to study Quranic tajweed was under the guidance of the great Sheikh Muhammad Salamah. He studied under the guidance of the great Sheikh Salamah and became a protégé of the man.
